Many of us have invested heavily in developing ourselves as leaders. We have learned a great deal about what it takes to be an effective leader and we are committed to using what we’ve learned. But there’s a new challenge. How do we effectively put the principles and practices we’ve learned to use in the virtual arena where we find ourselves? How do the principle and practices translate in the web2.0 space? How do we have impact in a world where we seldom see our constituents, but must engage them in the vision and values that we hold?
L.I.V.E.: Leading in the Virtual Environment™
is a curriculum is designed to address that challenge. It is a series of programs that pick up and support leaders where they left off with their leadership development training. Most of us will be trying to apply our leadership skills in virtual scenarios, using delivery channels not covered in traditional leadership training. These channels new and changing all the time and offer great opportunity for leaders. This program series will help you take the principles and practices you’ve explored and committed to and try them out in this new arena. These channels also offer great opportunity for the leader who is willing to explore them

Program descriptions:
L.I.V.E. Basics
An introduction to the issues and opportunities facing those who chose to lead in the virtual environment. Participants should have a good understanding of themselves as leaders, what they value, what their vision is for the future and what they consider their leadership style. Armed with that information, they will explore the challenges of developing and nurturing these qualities in an environment with unique qualities and challenges. Participants will learn to assess their constituency’s involvement in the virtual space and explore the opportunities they see to use web2.0 technologies to be increasingly effective as leaders. They will have the opportunity to design and develop a virtual application (a blog, a podcast, a socal network, a webinar, etc.) and will have the opportunity to get feedback on that application and test their own readiness to use that feedback to improve their leadership capacity.
Delivery format: currently available as a traditional workshop with online support.
Blended learning approach available in 4th quarter ’09.
E.I. L.I.V.E.

They will develop an application they believe addresses an issue they have identified from the EQI and test it out with the group.
Delivery format: currently available as a traditional workshop with online support.
Blended learning approach available in 2010.
Showing Up L.I.V.E.
This program is intended for executives who are refining their online “appearance”. How someone shows up online has a big impact on potential constituents Whether they present via streamed video, audio only recordings, as avatars, or any combination, image is a very big part of the reality of how they are viewed as a leader. What can you do to insure the image you put out to your constituents is in line with image you have of yourself as a leader. Each participant will have the opportunity for 1-1 coaching on their voice, their video delivery, their “look” online. Each participant will have the opportunity to adjust that image and test it in a web2.0 application.
Program Delivery Format options include customized onsite with online support and customized offsites with web support.
